Lawmakers are back in Springfield today, and the first order of business is to debate COVID-19 aid packages.
Some plans involve mortgage and rental relief, while others say such short term fixes can cause issues down the road. Legislators say they will not be voting regarding the extended stay at home order or any municipal plans on reopening businesses. A push is also being made to pull the Governor’s progressive income tax proposal from the November ballot.
