Two fires at vacant houses in Decatur being investigated

Investigators in Decatur say arson is suspected in fires at two vacant houses blocks from one another that broke out last night.

Fire department officials say witnesses told them they saw kids running from a home on North Monroe just before the first fire broke out.  Firefighters were about to finish putting out the first fire when they received reports of another fire on West Olive Street.  There were no reports of injuries in either blaze.
