Illinois is expanding its initiative to help local governments keep track of residents who have been exposed to COVID-19.
Contact tracing is considered the second part of the state’s test-and-trace effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Governor J.B. Pritzker says the program, called the Illinois Contact Tracing Collaborative, will support county and municipal health departments by providing assistance and infrastructure for their work.
