Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says a partnership with five banks will allow non-customers to cash their stimulus checks for free.
Pritzker says Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, US Bank, Fifth Third, and First Midwest Bank will work with Illinoisans without a bank to cash their paper stimulus checks at their institutions. Pritzker says one in five Illinois households have no bank and will receive paper checks.
