Almost 4,000 inmates are out of Illinois prisons in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19.
That number includes 64 convicted murderers. The inmates’ sentences were either commuted by Governor J.B. Pritzker or they were granted early release. Police departments across the state are questioning the governor’s actions.
