Illinois essential workers who think they contracted coronavirus on the job are now automatically covered by worker’s compensation.
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced the new policy Monday as new cases of COVID-19 in the state increased by more than a thousand for the eighth straight day. Those injured on the job must prove their illness was directly caused by their duties.
