Officials with the Macon County Joint task force on the Covid 19 Pandemic held a press conference Saturday afternoon to discuss the Fairhavens situation and how Macon County was fairing county wide. Decatur Mayor Julie Moore Wolfe said, difficult weekend to stay home, but to avoid backtracking the community needs to stay the course and honor the Stay at home order.
Brandy Binkley from the Macon County Health Department said, more tests are out. more positive tests are believed to be coming. Numbers will be going up. Numbers are related to Fairhavens Senior living facility. 10 residents and five staff members are tested confirmed positive for Covid 19. The County has 25 confirmed cases of COVID 19 at this time.
