Illinois public universities are seeking more aid to deal with the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Illinois State University is asking the state’s congressional delegation to seek an additional 47-billion dollars in emergency funding. University leaders say they also plan to ask for reimbursements through organizations like FEMA.
