There are currently 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Macon County area.
Of these 12 confirmed cases, four have been associated with a long-term care facility.
92 tests have been completed. There have been 74 negative tests and there are still 6 with results pending.
The Joint Crisis Communication Team did not release the number of Macon county residents that were tested outside of Macon county.
There is a possibility that a provider has or will send a test to a private lab, meaning the MCHD might not be notified. They would then be unable to track that submission.
It’s important to be practicing social distancing no matter how you are feeling.
