Today the Joint Crisis Communication Team announced a third confirmed case of COVID-19 in Macon County.
According the the Crisis Communication Team, the patient is a woman in her 40’s and she is currently in isolation at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
When the test came back positive, steps were taken immediately to begin identifying those in contact with the patient. This is done to follow Illinois Department of Public Health protocol and guidance.
There have been a total of 48 tests completed for COVID-19 in Macon County. 33 have been negative and 12 test results are still pending.
