Macon County deputy David Lewallen helped rescue a dog from a steep ravine early Tuesday.
The dog named Lacey had fallen in and her owner wasn’t able to get her and Lacey wasn’t able to get out on her own.
Lewallen responded to the South Shores Avenue area at 6:30 a.m. and climbed down the 50 foot ravine to rescue Lacey.
Lacey the dog was not injured, and her owner was incredibly happy to have her dog back safe.
