Friday March 20, The Trump administration decided to push the April 15 tax filing deadline back to July 15.
This decision was announced by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in a twitter post Friday. All businesses and taxpayers will have more time to file and will not have interest or penalties on payments at this time.
Along with this the administration already stated that the payments would be delayed which will leave $300 billion in the economy while the nation is dealing with the issues caused by COVID-19.
The push back is only for Federal Tax.
