HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital has begun screening emergency department patients for COVID-19 symptoms in a triage area near the emergency department entrance.
St. Mary’s is screening patients who have flu-like symptoms. Prior to a visit to the emergency room.
This is done to keep workers and staff safe but also to protect patients seeking care for non- respiratory stress. Not to just have testing occur.
Patients will be screened in an area just outside the emergency department.
HSHS Medical Group Family Medicine Forsyth is also operating a regional respiratory hub. Their hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please call ahead at 217-872- 0953.
