We will be sharing updates about the status of the COVID-19 virus everyday around noon as
information is made available to us by the Macon County Crisis Communication Team.
Currently there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Macon County.
We want to remind people that if you are experiencing possible symptoms of COVID-19, that you should not go to the Emergency Room.
These are mild symptoms that come with the virus.
It is also important that everyone should be taking preventive measures. Just because you don’t have symptoms doesn’t mean you won’t develop them. If you experience symptoms, first call your primary care physician. If you do not have a primary care physician in place at this time, you may call Crossing Healthcare at (217) 877-9117 or SIU at (217) 872-3800. Patients and visitors to healthcare facilities should be prepared to be screened before entering.
It’s recommended to stay home and avoid going out if it can be helped. Avoid gatherings of 10 people or more if you can.
We will continue to update you as more information continues to be made available ,we will post updates on Decatur radio.com as well as on the Decatur radio app.
