A Decatur man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for drug trafficking. Coryell Henz pleaded guilty in June after prosecutors said he was caught with cocaine during a July 2023 traffic stop in Sangamon County. Illinois State Police made the arrest after pulling Henz over. Federal authorities said the case showed Henz had traveled to Texas to buy the cocaine, with plans to distribute it in the Central District of Illinois. The sentence closes a case tied to interstate drug movement and local distribution efforts. Henz will serve the prison term under federal custody.
