(Chicago, IL) — Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is calling for fewer games. He tells ESPN 1000 in Chicago that the season should be shortened, even if it means a little less money for the players. Rizzo added that, if not shortened, the season shouldn’t start so early. There have been more than two dozen postponements already this year.

(Oakland, CA) — It was another ugly loss for the White Sox in a 10-2 defeat at the hands of the Athletics in Oakland. Chicago’s been outscored 18-to-3 in the first two games of the three-game series. Miguel Gonzalez took the loss, getting tagged for eight runs on eight hits in three-plus innings. Yoan Moncada was the lone bright spot going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.

(Lake Forest, IL) — The Bears opened a voluntary three-day veteran minicamp yesterday. Chicago running back Jordan Howard says his agent talked with the organization and was told they have no plans to trade him. Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks discussed the high expectations the Bears have for their defense this upcoming season.

(Indianapolis, IN) — The voluntary offseason workout program continues for the Indianapolis Colts. Players are currently undergoing strength and conditioning along with rehab at the team’s facility. The NFL Draft is on April 26th in Dallas. The Colts have the 6th pick in the first round. OTA’s will get underway in May. Mandatory minicamp will be held the second week of June.

(Cleveland, OH) — The Pacers will look to take a big series lead when they take on the Cavaliers in Game Two tonight in Cleveland. Indy won the series opener 98-80 on Sunday. The series will shift to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for Games Three and Four on Friday and Sunday.

(Denver, CO) — The Predators are looking to go up three-games-to-one as they visit the Avalanche in Game Four of their first-round playoff series tonight in Denver. Colorado knocked off Nashville 5-3 to avoid a 3-0 hole in the seven-game set. Game Five will shift back to Nashville on Friday and back to Denver for Game Six if necessary.
