(Decatur, IL) — Decatur Memorial Hospital and the vascular surgeons of Surgical Specialists of Central Illinois have partnered to establish a vascular center of excellence.
The DMH Vein and Vascular Institute, as it will be known, recently opened under the directorship of Jeffery D. Trachtenberg, MD, FACS. Joining the partnership will be Christopher H. Gram, MD, and William R. Ranger, MD. The mission of this new program and center is to establish a premier vascular program offering comprehensive medical and surgical treatment to the growing number of patients with vascular disease in Central Illinois.
“The DMH Vein and Vascular Institute illustrates the hospital’s ongoing commitment to bring high quality medical care to our community,” said Dr. Trachtenberg. “We’re honored to be a part it.”
DMH recently completed construction of a new endovascular catheterization suite outfitted with the most up-to-date fluoroscopic imaging equipment and technology available. “We’re excited about the future of vascular care available to area residents,” said Timothy Stone DMH President and CEO. “Never before has such a comprehensive program been available in the area.”
