Rauner: I’ll Veto Democratic Plan To Pay State Workers

(Springfield, IL)  —  Governor Bruce Rauner says he’ll scuttle a Democratic plan to pay state employees because it doesn’t pay them for the full year.  The governor yesterday released a video to state workers explaining why he will veto a proposal moving at the Statehouse to guarantee their paychecks.  Rauner says the plan in the House only pays workers until the end of June.  He wants them paid for the full year.
