No Charges In Central Illinois Animal Abuse Case

(Sibley, IL) — It looks like no one will be held responsible for the abuse that Bear the dog suffered. Ford County’s sheriff yesterday said his investigation into the case hit a dead end. Another dog’s owner found Bear strapped to a bridge post last year, his mouth was taped shut, and the dog was shot. Sheriff Mark Doran says he talked with Bear’s owners, but he could never link anyone to the abuse. The sheriff says the case is closed unless new evidence can be found.
