(Chicago, IL) — The University of Illinois wants to see nearly 100-thousand students on its three campuses in the next five years. University trustees are expected to talk about the plan to swell enrollment to 93-thousand by 2022 at a meeting later today. The U of I’s campuses in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield would all add thousands more students. University leaders say the move should help more students from Illinois attend the University of Illinois.
