Aaron Schock Wants Trial Delayed

(Springfield, IL)  —  Former Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock is asking a federal court to delay his trial.  The Peoria native was indicted by a grand jury on two-dozen counts including theft of government funds, fraud, making false statements and filing false tax returns.  The trial is scheduled to begin February 7th but his attorney filed a motion yesterday asking that the proceedings be postponed until July.  The defense says it needs more time to go over evidence.
