 >>Indians Take Commanding 3-0 Lead 

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  The Indians are a win away from the World Series.  Cleveland took a commanding 3-0 lead in the ALCS with a 4-2 win over the Blue Jays in Toronto.  The Jays will try to avoid being swept in the best-of-seven set today.

 

>>Indians’ Bauer Faces Four Batters Before Stitches Bust Open

 

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer lasted only four batters last night after the stitches on his injured finger busted open.  Blood visibly dripped from the wound on his pinkie finger, leading to his exit in the first inning.  Bauer originally cut the finger while trying to repair a drone last week.

 

>>Cubs Clash With Dodgers In Game Three

 

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The Cubs and Dodgers meet in Game Three of the NLCS tonight in LA.  The Dodgers evened the best-of-seven series at a game apiece with a 1-0 win Sunday night.  Chicago’s Jake Arrieta will oppose former Cub Rich Hill tonight.

 

>>Cardinals Crush Jets

 

(Glendale, AZ)  —  The Cardinals clobbered the Jets, 28-3, on “Monday Night Football” in Arizona.  David Johnson rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns as the Cards improved to 3-and-3.  The Jets have dropped four straight to fall to 1-and-5.

 

>>Colts’ Tight End To Miss Time

 

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts will be short-handed when they look to bounce back from their heart-breaker on “Sunday Night Football”.  According to reports, an MRI revealed tight end Dwayne Allen has a sprained ankle following the loss in Houston.  He is expected to miss this Sunday’s game with the Titans.  Allen has 18 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns this season.

 

 

>>Bears Turn Attention To Packers

 

(Lake Forest, IL)  —  The Bears are quickly turning their attention to Thursday’s road game against the Packers.  Chicago is 1-and-5 after Sunday’s 17-16 home loss to the Jaguars.  Green Bay is 3-and-2 following Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys at Lambeau Field.

 

 

>>Illinois At Fourth-Ranked Michigan Saturday

 

(Champaign, IL)  —  Illinois is gearing up for a tough road test this weekend.  The Fighting Illini head to The Big House to battle fourth-ranked Michigan.  Illinois snapped a four-game skid with a 24-7 win at Rutgers this past Saturday.  The Illini are 2-and-4 overall and 1-and-2 in the Big Ten.  U-of-M is 6-and-0.

 

>>Big 12 Conference Will Not Expand

 

(Dallas, TX)  —  The Big 12 Conference is staying put at 10 members.  Big 12 chairman of the Board of Directors and president of the University of Oklahoma David Boren says the conference will not expand.  Boren says it was a unanimous decision and the conference feels it is in good shape going forward.
