>>Browns’ Gordon Enters Rehab

(Berea, OH)  —  Suspended Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is entering a rehab facility less than a week before becoming eligible to return to football.  Gordon says he wants to ”step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career to enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility.”  The 25-year-old wants to “gain full control” of his life.

>>Bengals Beat Up Dolphins

(Cincinnati, OH)  —  The Bengals made easy work of the Dolphins, winning 22-7 on “Thursday Night Football” in Cincinnati.  A.J. Green had 10 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown for the Bengals, who improved to 2-and-2.  Miami is 1-and-3.

>>Cardinals Clip Reds In Ninth On Molina Double

(St. Louis, MO)  —  Yadier Molina doubled home Matt Carpenter from first base in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Cardinals a 4-3 win over the Reds at Busch Stadium.  Molina and Jedd Gyorko [[ JERK-oh ]] homered for St. Louis, which split the four-game series.  Seung Hwan Oh got the win.

>>Cubs, Pirates Play To Six-Inning Tie

(Pittsburgh, PA)  —  The Cubs and Pirates played to a 1-1 tie in Pittsburgh.  The game was called in the top of the sixth inning after a long rain delay.  The teams are not scheduled to play again and the game will have no bearing on the playoff races.  Wilson Contreras had two hits for Chicago.  All the stats count.

>>Rays Top White Sox To Avoid Sweep

(Chicago, IL)  —  The Rays avoided a four-game sweep with a 5-3 win over the White Sox. Carlos Sanchez smacked a two-run homer for Chicago, which is now guaranteed to finish under .500 for the fourth straight season.  Jose Quintana took the loss.

>>O’s Blank Jays To Move Into Wild Card Tie

(Toronto, Ontario)  —  There’s a tie in the AL wild card standings after the Orioles blanked the Blue Jays, 4-0.  Each team is 87-and-72 with three games to play.  Both teams are a game-and-a-half ahead of the Tigers.  Toronto finishes the season with a series in Boston.  Baltimore is at the Yankees.

>>Lady Gaga To Headline Super Bowl Halftime Show

(New York, NY)  —  Lady Gaga is headlining the Super Bowl 51 halftime show.  The NFL and Pepsi announced the six-time Grammy Award-winning artist will take the stage February 5th, 2017 in Houston.  Lady Gaga sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 50.

>>Illinois At 15th-Ranked Nebraska Tomorrow

(Lincoln, NE)  —  Illinois plays its Big Ten opener tomorrow on the road.  The Fighting Illini go up against 15th-ranked Nebraska.  Illinois is coming off a bye and is 1-and-2 on the season after consecutive losses to North Carolina and Western Michigan.  The Huskers are 4-and-0 overall and 1-and-0 in the Big Ten.

>>Colts Gear Up For Jaguars In London

(Indianapolis, IN)  —  The Colts battle the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Wembley Stadium in London.  Andrew Luck was a full participant in practice yesterday after being limited on Wednesdayas he deals with a shoulder injury.  Indy is 1-and-2 while the Jags are 0-and-3.  Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

>>Chase Playoffs Head To Dover

(Dover, DE)  —  The Chase for the Sprint Cup playoffs head to Dover International Speedway for the Citizen Soldier 400.  It’s the final race in the Round of 16.  Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have already advanced to the Round of 12.  Sunday’s race is at 1:00.
