>>Dodgers Complete Historic Sweep Of Padres

 

(San Diego, CA)  —  The Dodgers completed a historic three-game sweep of the Padres with a 7-0 win.  The Padres are the first team to be shut out in each of their first three games of a season in MLB history.  LA outscored San Diego 25-0 in the series.

 

>>Rockies’ Story Makes Home Run History

 

(Phoenix, AZ)  —  Rockies rookie Trevor Story made some history of his own in the Rockies’ 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks.  Story is the first player to homer in each of his first three career games.  He’s also the first player to go deep for each of his first four career hits.

 

>>Pirates Sweep Cards

 

(Pittsburgh, PA)  —   The Pirates completed a three-game sweep of the Cardinals with a 5-1 win in Pittsburgh.  St. Louis scored its lone run in the sixth on a homer from Jeremy Hazelbaker.  Cards starter Mike Leake took the loss, which gave the team its first 0-and-3 start since the 2007 season.

 

>>Gray Pitches A’s To First Win

 

(Oakland, CA)  —  Sonny Gray fired seven innings of one-run ball to lead the A’s to a 2-1 win over the White Sox.  Jimmy Rollins knocked in Chicago’s only run on a sac-fly in the third.  Carlos Rodon fanned six, but allowed both runs during his seven-inning start to take the loss.

 

>>Sixers’ Hinkie Steps Down

 

(Philadelphia, PA)  —  The Sam Hinkie era is over in Philadelphia.  Hinkie has stepped down as general manager and president of basketball operations for the 76ers.  Organizational changes this week prompted the resignation.  The Sixers are an NBA-worst 47-and-195 since Hinkie was hired in 2013.

 

>>Warriors Host Spurs

 

(Oakland, CA)  —  The Warriors continue their quest for history tonight against the Spurs.  At 69-and-9, Golden State needs to win all four of its remaining games to break the single-season record of 72 victories.  The 65-and-12 Spurs beat the Warriors on March 19th.

>>The Masters Tees Off Today At Augusta National

 

(Augusta, GA)  —  The first major of the PGA season gets underway today with first-round play at The Masters.  The first group is scheduled to tee off at 8:20 a.m. Eastern on the famed course at Augusta National.  Jordan Spieth [[ Speeth ]] took home the green jacket last year.
