The program is open to any child (including pre-readers) with a Decatur Public Library card, or in the care of an adult with a DPL card.
Kids, starting June 1 you can sign up and receive a personal book log to track books read or listened to over the summer. Set your own personal reading or listening goal for the week, then check out books, go home and read! Write down the titles read on your book log, come back, and get a sticker and reward!
EVERYONE who signs up (plus the adult who brings them) will get a coupon for a FREE book at the Friends of the Library Second Saturday Book Sale. And everyone who signs up by the end of Monday, June 12 will be entered into a drawing for a Reading by Design t-shirt! (Thanks to the Friends of the Library for 60 shirts we can give away!)
One of the rewards is (of course) a ticket to see DPL’s own READiculous, doing their brand new 2017 Summer Show!
There are 3 performances to choose from:
Friday, July 14, 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, July 27, 6:30 p.m.
Friday, July 28, 10:30 a.m.
So be sure to sign up so you can earn a ticket for this summer’s show!
Complete the 5th and final goal — choose a free book, and we’ll put your name in the library window!
