Amur Honeysuckle is an invasive species that is a threat in our local parks. Join Macon County Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists at Fairview Park in their efforts to remove this plant and continue to improve the biodiversity in the park.
Volunteers should meet at the Fairview Pool parking lot and bring pruners, loppers, and gloves. This event is sponsored by the Community Environmental Council, Decatur Park District, and University of Illinois Extension serving DeWitt, Macon, and Piatt counties.
Please register by April 4 at go.illinois.edu/Honeysuckle. Walk-ins will also be welcome. For questions, email wallison@illinois.edu.
