(Urbana, IL) — Students at the University of Illinois could have someone new teaching their classes next month. Unionized graduate students at the school yesterday filed a ten-day notice to strike. The union is trying to come to terms on pay and benefits with the university. The graduate students say they’ll walk out of classrooms if they have to. A U of I spokesman says they hope they can come to terms on a fair contract before the strike deadline arrives.
