(Champaign, IL) — One of the Democrats running for governor in Illinois wants to get the state’s money out of ‘dirty energy’ businesses. State Senator Dan Biss told a crowd in Champaign on Friday that he wants Illinois to divest any pension investments out of non-green energy companies. Biss says divesting is ‘the right thing to do’ and will send a message that Illinois doesn’t support ‘disruptive’ energy projects.
