(Quincy, IL) — Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner says he’ll find the money to replace the old buildings and water lines that have made people sick at the state veterans home in Quincy. The governor yesterday announced a plan to build new facilities in order to stop Legionnaires disease outbreaks that have killed 13 people since 2015. Until then, Rauner said the home will fully embrace recommendations from the CDC to stop the disease, like installing water filters on sinks and shower heads.
