(Springfield, IL) — There’s plenty of interest in Illinois’ new tax credit scholarship program. The governor’s office yesterday said that taxpayers pledged 36-million-dollars toward the program on its first day earlier this week. People can donate up to one-point-three-million-dollars and get a 75-percent tax break in return. You can find more information about the program at MyTaxIllinois.
