(Washington, IL) — Schools kids in Washington, Illinois are going to come back to class next month and see some missing water fountains. The district announced last week that it is removing eight water fountains at two schools because the schools failed new tests for lead. The water fountains at Beverly Manor School and at John L. Hensey School are being taken out over the holiday break. Washington School officials sent a letter home to parents before the break explaining the move and any potential dangers that their kids faced.
