(Chicago, IL) — Governor Rauner is siding with a group of people that booed him during the commencement ceremony at Chicago State University. A chorus of boos erupted yesterday when the governor was introduced by a Chicago State official. Later in the day, Rauner said he shared the crowd’s frustration, adding that the system is broken. The South Side university has been dealing with financial issues during the ongoing state budget crisis.
