(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ year-long contract negotiation with state workers is likely getting longer. A judge late last week ordered that Governor Rauner cannot impose his contract offer on AFSCME workers across the state. The Illinois Labor Relations Board had ruled there was an impasse. But a judge on Friday said AFSCME has “good cause” to continue to appeal the case. The governor’s office says they’re disappointed.
