The Springfield Police Department says a man who is believed to be involved in two bank robberies in Springfield has struck again.
Springfield police say officers responded to a report of a bank robbery at Chase Bank, located in the 2800 block of Greenbrier, at about 12:21 p.m. Upon arriving, officers spoke with witnesses, who say a white male entered the bank, presented a teller with a note stating that he was armed, and demanded money. The man left the bank on foot after taking an undetermined amount of money.
Police say the man was described as about 40-to-50 years old, standing six feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds with dark, collar length hair. Surveillance photos have been attached to this article to help in identifying the suspect.
Springfield police also say this suspect is believed to be involved with the robberies of two other Springfield banks, on September 28 and October 3.
