CHATHAM, Ill. — Mt. Zion’s boys soccer season came to an end Tuesday afternoon with a 6-0 loss to top-seeded Glenwood in the IHSA Class 2A Chatham Glenwood Regional semifinals.
The eighth-seeded Braves kept the Titans off the scoreboard throughout the first half, entering halftime in a scoreless tie before Glenwood pulled away with six second-half goals.
Mt. Zion finished its season with an 8-10-3 record, including a 4-4-2 mark in Apollo Conference play.
The Braves had put together a five-game winning streak late in the regular season before closing out their schedule against Mahomet-Seymour and entering regional competition.
