New I-Cash Auction Open

Treasure hunters have a few more days to bid on items in Illinois’ online I-CASH auction. The State Treasurer’s Office says 100 lots are up for grabs through Sunday, October 4, on the HiBid website. Featured items include a 1926 British Sovereign gold coin with King George the Fifth, three Egyptian leather jewelry boxes, and baseball cards featuring Chicago icons Ryne Sandberg and Frank Thomas. The auction includes property from abandoned safe deposit boxes and other unclaimed assets. The Treasurer’s Office also encourages Illinois residents to search I-CASH for lost bank accounts, insurance proceeds, rebate cards, and other unclaimed money.
