Families in Decatur will have a chance to celebrate the arrival of fall at Rock Springs Conservation Area.
The Rock Springs Fall Harvest Festival and Food Truck Frenzy is set for Saturday, September 12th.
The Food Truck Frenzy gets underway at noon, with the Fall Harvest Festival running from one to four that afternoon.
The event will feature a variety of family activities, including pumpkin painting, wagon rides, canoeing, lawn games, crafts, campfire s’mores, three-D archery and atlatl throwing.
Visitors can also tour Homestead Prairie Farm, learn about Illinois wildlife, check out a mobile STEM lab from Scouting America, and meet members of the Decatur Area Audubon Society.
Local musician Jim Hollis will provide live music on the patio from one to four p-m.
Wagon rides will be available from one to three-thirty, departing every 15 to 20 minutes.
The festival is free to attend, although some activities have a small fee.
