The DeWitt County Coroner has identified the woman killed in last Thursday’s two-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 10 as 68-year-old Ruth A. Cowser of DeLand.
Cowser was pronounced dead at the scene around 10:15 p.m. August 20th. Officials say she died from blunt force trauma.
The crash happened at Route 10 East and Plow Road in Clinton, where eastbound and westbound vehicles collided.
Two others were hospitalized, including one passenger airlifted to Champaign. The crash remains under investigation.
