Westbound lane of W. Grand Street in Decatur to close Thursday

Motorists in Decatur should be aware of a temporary lane closure Thursday, August 20th.

The City of Decatur Forestry crew will be removing a tree at 200 West Grand Street. The work will require the westbound lane of W. Grand Street to close from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Westbound traffic will be detoured by turning right onto North Church Street, followed by a left turn onto West Waggoner Street. Signs and cones will be in place to direct motorists through the detour.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use extreme caution around the work zone and consider an alternate route if possible.
