Monday is Senior and Scout Day at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
Fairgoers age 60 and older can get into the fair for free today with proper identification, and Scouts in uniform also receive free admission.
The day includes livestock competition featuring cattle and goats, along with a draft horse show and special programming at the Senior Citizens Center.
Tonight, the fairgrounds will turn up the volume with a pair of major entertainment events.
The Grandstand will feature a free concert from southern rock legends 38 Special, with Warrant joining the lineup. The concert begins at 8 p.m., with gates opening at 7. No ticket is required, although concertgoers will have to go through security screening.
For fans looking for something a little louder, the Multi-Purpose Arena hosts the ITPA Truck and Tractor Pull at 7:30 p.m.
Another free musical option is Shake Baby Shake, performing 50s and 60s music at the Grand Central Stage at 7:30 tonight.
The Illinois State Fair continues through Sunday, August 23 in Springfield.
