Monical’s Pizza has closed its South Shores location in Decatur.
The company announced the closure Tuesday in a post on Facebook, saying only that “circumstances have changed.” Monical’s did not provide a specific reason for the decision or say whether the closure is temporary or permanent.
In the announcement, the company thanked customers who supported the South Shores restaurant over the years. Monical’s also said many employees from that location will be moved to other restaurants in the Decatur area.
The closure may also affect delivery service for some customers. Monical’s says management is working to redraw delivery zones for the Mt. Zion Road and Prospect Drive locations. Because of that, customers may notice changes in which restaurant handles their delivery orders going forward.
The company encouraged customers to continue ordering from its other Decatur-area locations while those adjustments are being made.
