State Police Aim to Identify Remains Found in Lake Mattoon

Illinois State Police are asking for help identifying human remains found Sunday evening in Lake Mattoon. Investigators say the remains include an arm with several distinct tattoos, one showing a skeleton holding a Green Bay Packers helmet. Police believe those markings could be key to identifying the man and notifying his family. Anyone who recognizes the tattoo description, or who may have information about a missing person connected to the area, is urged to contact Illinois State Police Zone 8 Investigations at 618-542-2400.
