The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a public health alert for certain raw boneless chicken breast products sold under the Private Selection brand. The concern involves Honey Dijon Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts with Rib Meat in vacuum-packed packages. Officials say the products contain egg, a known allergen, but egg is not listed on the label. The chicken was shipped to Kroger and Fred Meyer stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and six other states. Consumers with egg allergies are urged not to eat the product and should throw it away or return it to the store.
