A new study reveals that Illinois drivers are more likely to encounter pothole damage when traveling. Data analyzed by Grigor Law Injury & Car Accident Lawyers, using Bureau of Transportation Statistics figures, shows that 80.4% of roads in Illinois are considered in acceptable condition. This places Illinois 20th nationally for worst roads, indicating room for improvement. Neighboring states fared worse, with Missouri ranking 16th and Wisconsin 14th. In contrast, Indiana stands out for road quality, boasting the highest percentage—97.4%—of its network in acceptable shape, earning it first place for best roads in the United States.
