An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the January shooting death of Zachariah Wikoff in Decatur. According to Decatur Police, the suspect was 17 at the time of the incident and is now charged with second-degree murder after consultation with the Macon County State’s Attorney’s Office. Police say Wikoff, age 46, was shot near South Maffit and East Wood Streets around 4 a.m. on January 18 and later died at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Due to the suspect’s age at the time, authorities are not releasing his name. The investigation remains ongoing.
