A Springfield man faces multiple charges after a late-night confrontation with police during a block party detail on East Brown Street.
Officers say 46-year-old Clyde H. Wallace was found behind the wheel of a white SUV, with open containers of alcohol visible inside the vehicle. Authorities report Wallace refused orders to exit, resisted arrest, and attempted to flee. After being subdued with a Taser, officers found a loaded handgun and suspected cannabis.
At the jail, additional pills tested positive for meth were allegedly discovered. Wallace, a convicted felon, is ineligible to possess a firearm, intensifying the list of charges he now faces.
