BASEBALL CARDS, GOLD UP FOR AUCTION

Sports fans and collectors have a unique chance to bid on rare memorabilia and valuables in the Illinois Treasurer’s latest ICash auction of unclaimed property. Among the 150 lots available online are collectible cards featuring Baseball Hall of Famers Ryne Sandberg, Nolan Ryan, and Ken Griffey Jr., as well as a 1917 U.S. Standing Liberty quarter. Interested bidders can also find a gold ingot and 14-karat gold earrings with stones. The auction, hosted on the HiBid website, runs through May 3. All items were turned over to the state after being unclaimed by their rightful owners.
