Illinois State Police have arrested 88-year-old Robert Crowe of Jacksonville in connection with the possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material. The investigation began last October, after law enforcement received information suggesting illegal activity at Crowe’s Morgan County residence. Special agents assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force collected digital evidence, leading to his arrest on April 23. Crowe faces a Class X felony for dissemination and a Class 2 felony for possession. He was taken to the Morgan County Jail and released after his initial court appearance. Reports of similar crimes can be submitted anonymously via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s cyber tip line.
