Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is highlighting the impact of his office’s legal battles against the Trump administration. Raoul says these lawsuits have safeguarded over eight billion dollars for Illinois, as well as vital state programs and services. According to Raoul, since January 2025, the Attorney General’s Office has taken legal action 63 times to counter federal policies considered unlawful. Of those cases, Illinois saw favorable outcomes in 93 percent, strengthening the state’s position in key areas such as healthcare, environmental protection, and education funding. Raoul credits this record for defending the interests and resources of Illinois residents.
