Menards Theft and Pursuit

Authorities in Macon County responded to a reported theft at Menards in Forsyth on February 17. Deputies identified the suspect as Gary Jordan, age 58, a repeat offender linked to previous incidents at the store. When confronted, Jordan attempted to escape by driving his truck through a wooden gate, nearly colliding with a deputy’s vehicle. Law enforcement pursued him into Decatur, where he abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Jordan was apprehended on ADM property and now faces charges including retail theft over $300, aggravated assault, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and criminal damage.
